About

PDFGen is a web app by New Media XP (“NMX”, “we”, “us”) for creating, combining and designing PDFs, at https://www.newmediaxp.com/app/pdfgen. This policy covers PDFGen in your browser, when you install it from your browser, and in any app store where we offer it.

NMX is an independent developer, not a registered company. You can reach us at the contact details at the end of this page.

Information We Collect

None. PDFGen works entirely on your device. The photos, PDFs and text you add are never uploaded: we don’t receive them, and neither does anyone else. PDFGen has no account, no ads and no analytics, and we don’t sell or share anything about you.

Your Files

PDFGen reads the files you add, and makes your PDFs, inside your browser.
Photo details. Photos can record where and when they were taken, and the camera. PDFGen leaves these details out of the PDFs it makes, unless you choose to keep them.
Passwords. A password you set for an exported PDF, or type to open a locked PDF, is used only while PDFGen is open. PDFGen never saves it.
Locked PDFs. When you add a PDF that has a password, PDFGen keeps an unlocked copy of it in your project, so it doesn’t have to ask for the password again. That unlocked copy is part of what PDFGen saves on your device, and of any project ZIP you export.

What’s Saved On Your Device

PDFGen uses your browser’s own storage on your device. None of it is sent to us.

Your project, saved automatically as you work so you can carry on later: its pages, blocks and settings, and copies of the files you added. Autosave keeps one project, in the browser where you made it.
Your PDF settings, which become the starting settings next time.
Your light or dark theme, if you choose one on our website.
An offline copy of PDFGen, so it opens without an internet connection.

To remove them:

Clear project in PDFGen deletes the project and the files in it.
Clearing the site data for www.newmediaxp.com in your browser’s settings removes everything above.

On a shared or public device, clear the project when you’re done.

PDFs and project ZIPs you download go where your browser saves downloads.
If you use Share, your device’s share sheet sends your files to the app or person you choose, and that app’s own privacy policy applies.

Technical Information

PDFGen is part of our website, which Cloudflare hosts. When your browser loads PDFGen, Cloudflare receives the request, including your IP address and browser details, to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare may keep logs of requests for a short time, under its own privacy policy. We see only totals, such as the number of visits, not who visited.

PDFGen sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set its own cookie to protect the site from bots and attacks.

App Stores

If you get PDFGen from an app store, the store handles the download and may collect information about it, under its own privacy policy. PDFGen itself works the same way as on our website.

Children

PDFGen is for everyone. We don’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your Rights

We hold no information about you, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. Everything PDFGen keeps is on your device, and you can delete it yourself as described above. If you have a question about your privacy, contact us.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. When it changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so in PDFGen or on our website before it takes effect.
